Who We Are

Save Quogue is a Quogue-based nonprofit corporation seeking recognition as a 501(c)(4) organization. We represent residents who believe Village government must take a more proactive and effective role in preserving Quogue’s historic character and protecting its Historic District.

Our mission is to preserve, protect, and strengthen the architectural heritage, historic character, and distinctive sense of place that make Quogue unique.

Through education, research, advocacy, collaboration, and public engagement, Save Quogue promotes thoughtful land-use decisions, compatible development, and effective preservation policies. Our goal is to safeguard Quogue’s Historic District and surrounding areas for present and future generations.

We seek to:

• Build broad community appreciation for Quogue’s historic, cultural, and architectural heritage, in a manner consistent with the important work of the Quogue Historical Society.

• Encourage transparency, accountability, and excellence in government decisions affecting historic properties and resources.

• Advocate for laws, regulations, policies, and practices that preserve the qualities that have made Quogue a distinctive and nationally recognized historic community.
